For the strongest scent throw and the fastest "seasoning" of the stone, we recommend the Oil-First Method:

The Seasoning Phase: Add 6–10 drops of the included essential oil directly into the dry top tray (no water).

The Glow Up: Light your tea light. As the oil heats up, it will provide an extra-strong scent and begin "seasoning" the stone into a solid, dark color.

Maintenance: After roughly 3 uses, the stone will have a beautiful, even patina. You can continue using oil only for maximum scent, or add 1–2 tablespoons of water for a slower, more subtle fragrance release.
